TechnologistThis position is responsible for solid to expert
knowledge of the modality for which they are currently
cross-training. Communicates and works independently in performing
all procedures on customers ranging in age from newborn to late
adulthood. Prioritizes, provides, and promotes quality patient care
to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of St. David's
Healthcare Maintains and supports facility technical and
documentation expectations consistent with JCAHO regulations and
standards. Positively reflects concern and consideration when
interacting with patients, medical staff, and employees.
Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills to assume
accountability for personal and team contributions.Qualifications
of the Multi-Modality TechnologistEDUCATION:
- Associate Degree
- Graduate of AMA-approved school of radiologic
technologyEXPERIENCE:
- Two years of previous diagnostic experience in acute care
facility desirable.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:
- Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical
Board (TMB)
- Registered technologist with current certification by ARRT (R)
and CE compliance. ARRT (VI), (CV), or (MRI) certification within
one (1) year of cross-training start date.
- ARRT (MRI) certification within 1 year of employment start
date
- ARRT (CT) certification within 6 months of employment start
date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of
employment start date St. David's South Austin Medical Center ,
