Description: The Senior Digital Designer works within the Experience Design group to design best-in-class websites and experiential campaigns. You'll be primarily focused on our work supporting the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. You should be familiar with digital best practices, current design trends, user research, design and prototyping tools, and are passionate about creating thoughtful, beautiful, and smart digital design.
About You: You are an expert in building and managing design systems, while bringing a deep understanding of accessibility, usability, and modular design principles. You have a systems-thinking mindset and can balance the need for both high-level strategy and detailed execution. You're comfortable collaborating with developers, digital producers, and designers to ensure the design system is functional, scalable, and aligned with broader business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the vision, design, and implementation of the client's design system, including typography, color, iconography, and component libraries for desktop and mobile environments.
Continuously audit and document the design system to identify discrepancies and propose design solutions to ensure consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
Oversee the maintenance and updates of the client's Figma libraries, ensuring assets are up-to-date and accessible for cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with other disciplines-art directors, strategists, UX designers, developers, data analysts, producers and members of our account leadership team-to deliver creative and effective digital solutions
Create and deliver tools, documentation, and resources to support the use of the design system,
and provide ongoing education and leadership to product and design teams.
Implement frameworks for accessibility and inclusion, ensuring that all design components are built with diverse users in mind.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in creating and managing design systems for desktop and mobile environments.
5+ years of experience in interaction design, visual design, or related fields.
Deep understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments with cross-functional teams.
Experience with design tools like Figma and collaboration with development teams to ensure seamless handoff and implementation of design assets.
A strong portfolio in visual design that demonstrates your digital design capabilities and core skills
Bonus Points:
Can create micro animations or motion graphics
Experience with content management systems, including Adobe Experience Management and Adobe Target
Knowledge of front-end development
Can create wireframes and add value to the UX process
3D modeling or AR-related design experience
